Good Old Boat just published my review of Spurr's Guide to Upgrading Your Cruising (3rd revised edition, 2006). There are a lot of books offering similar advice to sailors, but I think Dan Spurr's is one of the best - very readable and comprehensible to even technically challenged folks. Check it out in Good Old Boat's online newsletter for August 2006.You can buy it from Good Old Boat's bookstore, but Amazon has it for a much better price.
I'll check into the book, but you/that did reminded me to re-new my GOB subcription. Thereby finding out about their burgee, which I ordered.
