Credit where credit is due...
A few nights ago, we went up to the Encinal's annual "cruising awards dinner." Always a fun time, Deborah and I hooked up with lots of friends with whom we'd spent time on various club cruises. And, of course, we got our plaque for having made our share of cruises (I think it was eight this year), and because we were cruise leaders for a couple of cruises, we got caps, as well. What fun.
Cruisers of the Year went to Hal and Laurie Lynam, who - even though boatless for part of the year - were on almost every cruise. That's Cruise Captains Rob and Carol on the left introducing Hal and Laurie with the trophy.
A special honor this year went to cruisers who'd gotten new people to join the cruising group. Catherine Munn (right in her cruise leader cap) was one of two gals who put on the family cruise to Angel Island, which drew some new folks, and Deborah (organized and led the All-Women's cruise to the Corinthian Yacht Club.
