ramblings, stories, photos, rants and ravings from James and Penelope, the skipper and first mate of Alizée, a 2001 Cabo Rico 36, who sail, are dragon boaters and otherwise mess about on boats, read, write, volunteer, travel occasionally and otherwise enjoy life to the fullest, and whose skipper plays jazz piano in his quintet All That Jazz.
As I sit here in Oriental, NC, in light winds and in reach of gunkhole heaven, I am so missing sailing the slot in SF Bay. In a couple of weeks I'll be out there on Dog Days, might sweet little Islander Bahama 28, but for now I'm just envious of my sailing friends in SF Bay. Looking forward to sailing the bay soon.

James is retired from academia after over thirty years teaching history, he spends as much time as possible sailing with his wife and true love Penelope. This plus a bit of writing and reading to keep the mind alive, some travel, and making music makes life rich and sometimes unpredictable.

We had a great time at the all islander gathering, missed seeing you and the princess. Lady Z and I sailed down this year.
